The Board of Directors advise, govern, oversee policy and direction and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Florida Polytechnic University and its Foundation.
The Florida Polytechnic University Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of community leaders and industry experts who saw the potential to fuel dreams, boost the economy and put Florida Poly on the map as a high-tech leader. The Foundation Board works closely with University leadership to align fundraising efforts with Florida Poly’s future trajectory.

Florida Polytechnic University Foundation, Inc. was established in 2013 to encourage, solicit, receive and administer gifts for scientific, educational and charitable purposes for the advancement of Florida Polytechnic University and its objectives. It is registered by the State of Florida as a charitable organization and is approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
The Foundation has also been certified as a Direct Support Organization (DSO) of Florida Polytechnic University as defined in Florida Statute 1004.28. The Florida Polytechnic University Foundation is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors, whose members play a significant role in the development of the University as a major educational, cultural and economic resource.
The mission of the University is advanced through the involvement of the Board of Directors and their contribution of time, leadership and financial resources. The Foundation’s corporate affairs are managed by Kevin J. Aspegren, CEO. The Foundation’s business office is managed by Controller Derek Horton, along with Kim Kennedy, providing Administrative Support.
